Ashley Movers is family-owned and run out of North Hollywood. We built the company we wished existed back when we were the ones hiring movers.
Who we are
It started by carrying other people's couches
George started in this business around 15 yearsago the only way anyone really does: on the other end of a heavy couch, on a stranger's staircase, learning what it actually takes to move a family without breaking what matters to them.
Year after year he worked his way up to lead foreman, running crews and running jobs, watching closely how the good companies earned trust and how the bad ones lost it. He saw the broker tricks up close: the lowball quote on the phone, the price that doubled once the truck was loaded, the crew of strangers who'd never spoken to the customer before that morning.
So he built his own family company here in North Hollywood: small on purpose, honest on principle. At Ashley Movers, the person who answers your call is the person who'll be standing in your hallway on moving day. No call center, no handoff, no mystery crew. Just us.

Why we started
We built the company we wished existed for our own family
Most people don't move often, so they don't know the game. They search online, click a name that looks fine, and hand their deposit to a broker, a middleman who never lifts a box. The broker sells the job to whichever crew is cheapest and least accountable, and the quote you agreed to has nothing to do with the bill you get.
We watched good families get burned by that for years. The hostage load. The "the truck was bigger than we thought" story. The phone number that stops answering once your stuff is on board. We hated it.
Ashley Movers is the answer to that. One company, start to finish. You get a real price up front from real movers, and the people who quote the job are the people who do the job. That's the whole idea, and it's why we're still here around 15 years later.
